Garden Details
During the growing season the Catholic Multicultural Center food pantry garden provides all the fresh produce needs for its twice weekly food pantry as well as the weekday hot meal program. The garden ensures that all who use the food pantry have access to an abundance of fresh, healthy food which might not otherwise be available to them. The food pantry garden is run completely with the help of volunteers, growing an average of 8,000 lbs of produce a year. A small prairie restoration on site adds biodiversity, prevents erosion, and provides habitat for pollinators.
