Connecting People and Gardens
Across the country, gardens rooted in Catholic communities and in homes inspired by them are becoming places of nourishment, beauty, and encounter. Some grow food for neighbors in need. Others create spaces for prayer, reflection, and gathering. Many restore habitat through pollinator-friendly and native plants. Together, they bring people closer to one another and to creation.
Catholic Garden Network is a national initiative that connects, celebrates, and supports these efforts through a Garden Directory and Community Forum, helping gardens and the people who care for them share ideas, exchange resources, and grow in community.

Connecting People and Gardens
At a time when many people are seeking deeper connection, beauty, belonging, and meaningful ways to live their faith, gardens offer a tangible way to care for creation and serve our neighbors.
We believe in the power of gardens…
- To cultivate a deeper awareness of our relationship with the natural world and our interconnectedness with all of creation.
- To sustain our bodies, inspire our minds, and nourish our spirits.
- To foster friendships, strengthen communities, and bring people together in shared purpose.
- To provide opportunities to care for one another and our common home.
- To create sacred spaces for prayer, meditation, and reflection.
- To serve as living classrooms that teach and inspire future generations.
- To spark joy and wonder in our lives.
- To transform ordinary spaces into places of beauty, hospitality, and purpose.
