Garden Details
The Go Wild! pocket prairie was funded by a 2022 Explorer’s Challenge grant to demonstrate to Marquette University a model for using WI native plants in our landscaping. The project is entirely volunteer run with leadership from staff, faculty, and students. Included in the design of the garden are experimental research plots, and students have been active in conducting research surveys on the site. The garden has been incorporated into numerous university courses, events, and student projects (creative as well as research), and is frequented by community members in search of a moment of peace in nature.
