Garden Details
The Healing With Hope Garden was established in 2025 as a place for everyone in the community of Hopedale and beyond to come together and remember those whom we have loved and lost. This is a sacred space where people can remember significant moments and find peace through healing, prayer, and reflection. The creation of our garden began with the tragic death of our beloved Benjamin M. Kellogg. His light and love shines bright today, as the lights that illuminate the cross-shaped path of engraved bricks holding the names and memories of those in our community and beyond. In building this place of serenity and healing, we have also built a stronger community fueled by faith and love.

Our garden has engraved bricks that come together in the shape of a cross. At the top of our cross is a Flame Thrower Red Bud tree that Ben's cub scout den selected for him as it has red heart shaped leaves in the fall. Buried under the tree will be messages to Ben from his loved ones in the community. Along side of the tree, there are two hydrangeas to represent spiritual understanding, gratitude and beauty.
There is a granite memorial bench for Benjamin M. Kellogg as well as a fire pit for the Easter Vigil and for the community to enjoy.
