Garden Details
There are 8 separate gardens in various sizes as well as borders. Including:
A labyrinth
A Pollinator
A vegetable (produce donated to urban kitchen)
Flowers (dedicated to Sts. Mary, Anthony, Francis)
The gardens enhance the campus, provide areas for prayer and meditation, provide fresh food to a neighboring Catholic service center/kitchen, provide food for pollinators and birds. We are a Laudato Si’ Action Platform Plan registered parish.

All gardens maintained by parish volunteers (30) weekly from April to end of November.
Native, perennial, annual, ornamental, sub/above ground vegetables,
Something in bloom throughout the season.
Approximately 30 volunteers grow/ maintain plants weekly
Vegetable produce harvested and delivered May-September
Flowers/vegetables used in annual Season of Creation Mass offertory procession

Additional Information
There is no parish budget for the gardens, so funding for supplies, replacement of equipment, etc is a perennial issue. Vegetable garden is more prone to damage from pests and disease.
Donations are always welcome.
Our “Ministers of the Soil” volunteer for the love of gardening and take great pride in their efforts. We appreciate the many compliments from parishioners each year.
The community kitchen is always delighted to receive our fresh produce.
Our Pollinator Garden was recognized by the national Monarch Watch organization in 2023.
