Garden Details
We have greenhouses, vegetable, herb, rain, and pollinator gardens that we use for teaching and as habitat for native species of plants and animals.
Garden Practices
Garden Practices
We use high tunnels, raised-beds, organic, no-till, and permaculture techniques to raise vegetables, herbs, and pollinator gardens.
Blueberry, raspberry, elderberry, peach, strawberries, persimmon, plum, pawpaw, mint, fennel, lavender, sage, kale, broccoli, beets, spinach, lettuce, dill, carrots, native Kentucky pollinator plants, shitake and chicken of the woods fungi.
We have weekly volunteer days, four weeks of summer camps, fall camp, spring break camp, and school field trips to educate people about the importance of pollinator gardens, food forests, and home vegetable gardens.
Additional Information
Additional Information
Climate change has brought us increased rainfall in the spring making it harder to plant, and droughts in the summer making is challenging to keep things watered.
Volunteers and donations are always welcome.
We have been able to grow out gardens every year and hope to continue that trend.
