Garden Details
In the fall of 2015, a Rosary Garden in honor of Mary was completed due to the efforts of a couple of our parishioners, Leroy and Sauny. After feeling the powerful effects of the rosary and attending a CRHP retreat, they felt God was telling them St. Bernard needed a rosary garden. The rosary garden is centered around a 5’ marble blessed Virgin Mary Statue. A round pergola with columns is over Mary. A black granite crucifix begins the rosary. The Hail Mary beads, made of black granite, and the mysteries, made of mahogany granite, were embedded in concrete. The mysteries of the rosary are engraved on the Our Father beads. All previous pastors, associate pastors, and deacons are engraved on mahogany pieces of granite. The existing statues from the previous prayer garden on the east side of the church were added to the garden. A baby laying in angel wings representing the dignity of life was donated for the garden. Granite benches are located at each mystery of the rosary. Memorial bricks donated by parishioners and the community were laid inside the rosary to help fund the project. The rosary garden was dedicated on May 31, 2016 with a rosary said by the parish and Mass with Bishop Thompson, Fr. Ron Zgunda, & Fr. Tony Ernst present. The dedication happened to fall on the Marian Feast Day of The Visitation which was a great day to celebrate this addition to our church! This project would never have happened without the very generous people of St. Bernard and those in our community who gave of their TIME, TALENT, and TREASURES. The rosary garden is a place for members of the community to pray, meditate, and reflect on the lives of the Virgin Mary and Christ Jesus through the mysteries of the rosary.
Mary, Queen of the Most Holy Rosary, Pray for Us!
